Ingredients for Easy Khoya Burfi
- Khoya / Mawa - 1 cup grated
- Sugar - 3 tbsp
- Ghee - 1 tsp
- Cardamom Powder / Yelakai podi - ½ tsp
- Nuts - 3 tbsp ( I used pista, badam, cashews)
- Saffron a pinch
- Milk - 1 tbsp
How to Make Easy Khoya Burfi
- Line a plate with foil and grease it well with ghee. Set aside.
- Heat ghee in a pan, add in nuts and fry till golden. Remove this and set aside.
- Soak saffron with some milk for 5 mins and set aside.
- Now add in the grated khoya and fry this for few sec.
- Add in sugar and mix well. Keep cooking this till it starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Now add in cardamom powder, saffron milk, nuts and give a good mix.
- Now pour this in a greased pan and smoothen it, sprinkle the top with some nuts.
- Let it set for a hour.
- Cut into squares and enjoy.
